? Conduct RFQ process on the back of enquiries received from THE COMPANY divisions globally.
? Evaluate supplier cost structure to obtain best overall value and ensure the RFQ offered is sustainable and customer focused.
? Work with new suppliers to sign NDA, Warranty, SCOC and Supplier agreements in a timely fashion.
? Continue to develop and optimize each opportunity. Manage program timeline from Sample P.O release to Pilot batch approval.
? Pro-actively identify suitable future suppliers capable of aligning with THE COMPANY program commodity strategies. Market benchmarking activities to ensure best cost / quality solutions are continually being challenged.
? Act as main contact for all commercial issues towards supplier base. Liaise with divisions to lead and conduct price negotiations, planning and price development tracking.
? Deliver on agreed cost savings and cost reduction targets. Be able to lead and supervise the Casting commodity and manage Casting suppliers in line with Group purchasing strategy.
? Secure supply, capacity and quality output in line with THE COMPANY divisional requirements.
? Ensure on time input of correct data within the respective systems. Updating of price files and the Business Warehouse performance system.
? Working within global cross-functional teams to develop strategies to maximize business opportunities.
? Support divisions in the coordination of supplier audits with SDE team and assist with quality problem resolutions.
Education / Experience / Knowledge – Position Requirements
? University degree in mechanical/ Engineering or related major.
? 5 years purchasing experience within the automotive or construction equipment industry. Experience working with a global OEM is preferred.
? Casting knowledge is essential and in particular power-train casting experience preferred.
? Capability to lead multiple and complicated projects whilst working under pressure.
? Highly developed time management and follow up skills.
? Ability to demonstrate a high sense of task ownership / accountability.
? A strong negotiator with good communication skills.
? Experienced working in cross culture environments.
? Proven ability to organize / coordinate the activities of self and others.
? A willingness to travel domestically and overseas independently.
? Fluency of the English language both written and oral.
? Familiar with SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
